Big Boy

Lucas was so funny tonight. He decided to check out his bath water to make sure that it wasn't too hot. He also decided to take off his own shirt. He was so proud of himself and we were very proud also. He tried to take off his pants, but he's not quite there yet. He just looks like Al Bundy. He puts his thumb inside his waistband of his diaper and pushed down. When he gets out of the tub and gets dressed, he goes right into his bathroom to brush his teeth. I think that he just likes the taste of his toothpaste. Tonight, he also learned to throw his arms up in the air and scream like a woman. It's so funny!!!

Filling Big Shoes

Well, Lucas has had lots of company lately. While Judy was in Hawaii, Lucas' Nanny and B.O. stayed with him for 3 days and his Granny stayed with him for 4 days. Talk about spoiled. He has a slight shoe fetish. He can't resist trying on a good pair of shoes, even if they're not his. He's even become pretty good at walking in high heels.

Lucas is climbing on everything now. He's also opening anything with a knob. The other night when I was in the bathtub and his Daddy had apparently left the room, I heard some rustling around. When I looked around the corner, he was standing in the chair at the desk. It's a good thing that I can move fast when I want to. He would've crashed and burned pretty hard.

He had a good Valentine's Day. His Granny and Grandaddy brought him a balloon. He thinks it is the best thing!!! He has a great time walking around and yanking on the string. We went to Cheesecake Factory and he had a good time telling everyone who would listen "hi" and "bye".

Right now, he has pink eye. It's a LOT better than it was yesterday morning. He doesn't care for the eye drops, but we manage to get them in.

We are completely off of the bottle now. He likes picking out his own sippy cups. He transitioned really easily. We just woke up one morning and told him his bottles went bye bye. We showed him the cabinet and let him pick out his cup. He really never cried for it. If he acted like he wanted it, we'd just remind him that it went bye bye and let him pick his own cup. Now, if we could just make the transition to him sleeping in his bed all night. He always starts out there, but most of the time, he ends up with us before the night is over. He's an excellent snuggler and we just can't bear to give that up!!! He'll only be a baby once, so we'll work on that once he's old enough for a big boy bed.

We don't know where Lucas got his rhythm(definitely not from me or Brad), but he LOVES to dance. Anytime he hears music, even a commercial on TV, he bobs that head and starts to shake that booty.

As you can see, I got a new do this week. I'm still deciding if I like it. I definitely needed a change!!!
