Drums??? What was I thinking?!!!!

We've always told Lucas that we would get him some drums when he started pooping on the potty. Well, he finally did this week. In fact, he's so proud of it that he wants to go more than once a day. He uses his potty chair that he picked out. He started out in the living room, but now he's moved it to his bedroom. He's done great.

Not sure at first!

"I did it!"

He did not let us forget about the drums!!! We've looked everywhere for them. I finally found them today and am now wondering why I ever promised drums!!! He goes full force and loves them.

We are very proud of Lucas and everything he has achieved in the past couple of months. Now, I wonder what I'll have to promise him to get him to sleep in his room.........

Easter

Lucas had a really good Easter. He was really surprised that the Easter bunny left his Easter basket beside his bed. We went to church at Severns Valley. Lucas stayed pretty quiet and was really good during church. We hope to keep going to get him used to church. We really liked the new preacher. Lucas is on the waiting list for their preschool. When I showed him the school area, he was most impressed with the huge indoor playground!!!
Before Easter, Lucas and Brad made a daily trip to TSC to see the chicks, ducks, and bunnies. He got braver with each trip and finally reached in and touched them. I don't know what they'll do after school now.

Updates

Finally, a new post!!! There's been a lot going on around here in the past couple of months. Lucas started "school" at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. They have childcare and school from 2 years of age through 8th grade. It's been a rough ride to say the least, but things have finally stabilized and Lucas seems happy. At first, we were all in tears and had upset stomachs. Then, we all got sick from something that Lucas came in contact with at school. Finally, we've been a full week without being sick or crying!!! He's in the 2 year old group due to his birthday being in October. He'll start preschool in August. I'm really glad that him and Blakyn have been able to stay together. They've been together since they were 10 weeks old. They still seem lost when the other one is not at school. They are beginning to make some new friends, but they never venture far apart. Both of them seem to be growing up fast.
We took Lucas to see Disney on Ice in Lexington. He wasn't too thrilled with it. Part of it scared him and he didn't know very many of the characters. He fell asleep after the intermission. I don't think we'll try that one again anytime soon. The best part was that he got a new sword.
The next day, Gigi and Papaw came to see us. They brought Lucas a knight outfit. He's been thrilled with all of his knight "stuff". We have had many, many sword fights. Everyone who enters our house has to be "on guard" for a good sword fight.
