Picture Day

Today, we met Brandy, Dustin, and Tate at Saunder's Springs for Brandy to take Lucas' 2 year pictures. It's a beautiful place and hopefully she got some great shots. It's hard to get little one's to cooperate. Lucas enjoyed playing with Tate. They're just about the same size.

Before we decided where to get the pictures made, we went for a drive and tried out a few spots. I've posted a few shots that I took. They're not so good, but hopefully someday I'll get better.

KY Down Under

We met Mike, Alesha, and Kaylea (aka LaLa) at KY Down Under in Horse Cave yesterday. Lucas and Kaylea had a good time chasing the goats,rubbing the kangaroos, watching the birds, and exploring a cave. Kaylea got to try her hand at milking a goat and a cow. I had a blonde moment myself. When we were looking at the kangaroos, one of them had a lot of legs. I didn't realize that there was a joey in her pouch and it was his legs. I just thought she was one leggy kangaroo. Oh well, our true colors shine through every now and then. The cave was neat, but was a little tricky with little ones. I don't think we'll attempt anymore caves until Lucas is a little older. Kaylea told Brad how scared she was to go in the cave. After timidly going into the cave and finding out that there were no monsters, she looked at Brad and said, "I told you it wasn't scary". We all had a good time and will hopefully do something again soon.
