Chillin'

We just spent the weekend chillin' close to home. Yesterday, Lucas said he wanted to go to the mall, so we did. He loves to ride the little rides in the middle of the mall. We've been spending a lot of time in the back yard lately too. He loves his swingset and kicking the soccer ball up the tee box and back down.

Today, we packed a picnic and went to Saunder's Springs in Radcliff. While eating our sandwiches beside the stream, we heard something and when we looked, it was 2 groundhogs chasing each other and fighting. That's something I've never seen before. We walked on the trails by the small lake and the stream. We even found a cave that we didn't know was there. Lucas kept saying that he wanted to walk in the water, but he wouldn't let me put him down. So, I walked in the water and carried him. We hope to do a lot of these close to home outdoor things this summer. We enjoy it and so does Lucas.

It's amazing the places we take advantage of having close by. Buzzy told NaNa and GiGi that he wanted MiMi to bring him to E-Town sometimes this summer and go to the zoo with Lucas. GiGi told him about the bouncy place too. Buzzy loves hanging out with Lucas, NaNa and GiGi. We are really blessed to have such good babysitters!

There are lots of things that the boys can do here. We have an indoor bouncy house place. I think I'll have Lucas' birthday there this year. They also have roller skating and putt-putt golf. We have a big playground at the park and lots of areas around Freeman Lake. We have the best babysitters. We are very blessed to have such a committed family.

Did you all mean we need to be committed? Yes, sometimes we do. There is no telling what would happen if we kept them together all the time. Lucas would end up with some kind of critter besides a cat. Always take him to outside places. Learning takes place more than a classroom. So many kids grow up never knowing about dirt and good old playing. Kiddos need to play all the can!!

Is this the same place we met? I need to make a stop there again. It was such a pretty place!
